A Judgment-Free Day

Is it possible to be a good judge of others?
Therefore you have no excuse, whoever you are, when you judge others; for in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, are doing the very same things. - Romans 2:1
In today's epistle, Paul tells us we cannot be a good judge of others, because we are as guilty as they are.
That's a bit harsh, don't you think?
We are not all equally bad, right? Some are much worse than others, so what's wrong with pointing that out?
The message here is a simple one. We should look first at our own deeds and be a good judge of ourselves before seeking to judge others.
Can we do that?
Suppose we tried to last one day without judging others. Could we do it?
It doesn't sound like it should be that hard, but think of all the opportunities we have to get our backs up over what we read and hear each day.
We are making judgments about others when we do that, aren't we?
I think we may find it much more difficult to go a day without judgments than one might expect.
And how would we prove we didn't judge anyone if we did?
I guess we might just have to stay away from social media altogether to show we are not being judgmental.
Wow. That says a lot doesn't it?
Well, I'm going to try to stay connected and live a judgment-free day today. Wish me luck.
More to come...
