Anything's Possible

Where have I seen this before?
Yesterday, we saw pictures that seemed unreal. The wind from Hurricane Irma sucked all the water out of Tampa Bay, leaving it passable as dry land.
Remind you of something?
Moses held out his hand over the sea, and the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind. It blew all night and turned the sea into dry land. The water was divided, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on both sides. - Exodus 14:21-22
Some were tempted to walk out on the floor of the bay, while others let their dogs run, but all agreed they had never seen anything like it.

Meteorologists warned that the wind would change direction and the water would come back with a vengeance, possibly washing away anyone in its path, and that has a Biblical ring to it as well.
Now the fact that this kind of bizarre activity does actually happen doesn't prove that the story in Exodus is true, but it makes us think twice about what is possible and what isn't.
Jesus told his followers that all things are possible with God, and though we interpret that to mean it is God's hand that controls all that happens, I don't believe that is the case.
The world we live in is much more powerful and mysterious than we realize sometimes. We take things for granted because they are familiar and we think they are controllable. But this reverse storm surge is an example of just how much we don't know.
So, I guess we need to stop and take notice with awe and amazement. This is something special. Deadly and violent, yes, but truly special as well.
The sea was turned to dry land and people were able to walk upon it.
OMG!
More to come...
