Avoiding Mistakes

What is life like without judgment?
We give you thanks, O God, we give you thanks, calling upon your Name and declaring all your wonderful deeds. "I will appoint a time," says God; "I will judge with equity. Though the earth and all its inhabitants are quaking, I will make its pillars fast. I will say to the boasters, 'Boast no more,' and to the wicked, 'Do not toss your horns; Do not toss your horns so high, nor speak with a proud neck.'" For judgment is neither from the east nor from the west, nor yet from the wilderness or the mountains. It is God who judges; he puts down one and lifts up another. For in the Lord's hand there is a cup, full of spiced and foaming wine, which he pours out, and all the wicked of the earth shall drink and drain the dregs. But I will rejoice for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob. He shall break off all the horns of the wicked; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted. - Psalm 75
When God tells us that He will pick a time when He will judge with equity, it makes me think the time we are in is not that time.
People can be evil or good. It is their will, not God's will, that determines that.
So, we live in a time without God's judgment. Does that mean we, too, should not judge one another?
From the beginning of civilization, we have found ways to create councils and elders to hold us to the laws we revere. That has held us together, kept us from destroying ourselves as a people.
Today, though, we seem to be struggling with the premise of judging those who commit wrongs against others. We don't feel right judging them and wish we had ways to help them see the errors of their ways.
It is not equitable, we say, so we stop judging, stop punishing.
Is that the right way to solve the problem?
I guess we have to define the problem first. If I make a mistake and make a harsh judgment against the wrong person, does that mean I should stop judging altogether to avoid making a mistake like that?
The psalmist tells us that God will break the horns of the wicked and exalt the horns of the righteous. Does that tell us to let the wicked and evil reign without being checked?
I guess we will find out what life will be like with no judgment at all, for that is where we are headed. To avoid making a mistake, we let chaos reign.
More to come...
