Practical Miracles
How many miracles have you performed today?
Silly question?
It depends on what we consider miraculous, doesn't it?
I happen to think that God has given us all the ability to perform miracles in the lives of others. One simple way is to share what we have with others, even if it isn't a lot.
The disciples said to him, "Where are we to get enough bread in the desert to feed so great a crowd?" Jesus asked them, "How many loaves have you?" They said, "Seven, and a few small fish." - Matthew 15:33-34
The miracle of the loaves and fishes begins with a simple statement of what the disciples had available to share. We can get all caught up in what happens next and completely miss the heart of this miracle, the willingness on the part of the group to offer what little they had to a crowd that needed so much more.
There are countless examples of this type of forward movement against ridiculously insurmountable obstacles, people we know and may be ourselves, who refuse to look at the impossibility of their goals being achieved. They press on regardless.
They look at the impractical and see it as practical.
Are you like that?
I have been blessed to be accused of it at times, and I believe it is a good way to see the world. So, I look at today and say, how many miracles can I perform today?
Am I alone?
I hope not. Would you care to join me and make a miracle together? Come, it will be fun.
More to come...
