Wisdom Rules

There is a lot of talk these days about the wisdom of rulers, one ruler in particular.
The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouting of a ruler among fools. Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one bungler destroys much good. - Ecclesiastes 9:17-18
Times haven't changed much, have they?
The problem is not that there are fools and bunglers, but that we aren't always sure who is who.
History will prove it out, but we don't like to wait to see how time treats the present. What was foolish will become clear and what was wise will make sense, but we may not know for certain right now.
So we all act foolish at times, thinking ourselves wise, and we claim to know better.
Now many may think me a fool for saying so, but I have come to look at all as suspect. No one may have the whole truth, nor may anyone know the wisdom behind the foolishness.
If I am sounding like the author of Ecclesiastes, maybe that's the message in the book. Don't be too quick to judge. Give it time. Make a serious effort to see all sides. Let wisdom enter in.
We may all believe that there are obvious signs today that some are not seeing. What we may not believe is that all are subject to being misled.
Some things I see more clearly than you, while others are clearer to you. If only we could suspend our emotion long enough to hear each other and let wisdom rule.
More to come...
